Man that is so true. Also, when you googled shit, you would actually get hits from weird corners of the internet. Like some cool forum or some cool blog. Nowadays google search is nothing but preapproved corporate dog shit.
Personally when I find something or someone I like a lot, I then search for sites that have LISTS of similar things in that CATEGORY. Then I have tons of directions to follow-up on thereafter. The list has compiled together what the search engine won't any longer. FWIW.
yeah, I miss many aspects of that better internet. People were just happier to be USING the internet, instead of the internet using them. Not to mention how much of it is just fake bot and agent accounts now. Some say MOST of the internet is. WTF.
BTW - In "The Matrix" the peak of human civilization was 1999.
