Guys, you really can't expect much objectivity from Caleb here; have a read what UAE did with some Dubai-based influencers who posted objective content about what's happening in Dubai. Caleb won't risk his status in Dubai to be objective for us. Wish he at least keep quiet, not try to assure us how great and safe Dubai is atm with so much objective evidence of this not being the case.

Caleb also has a tendency to stick with his biased view even if 10,000 people tell him it's not obbjectively true; like when the consesus was that if you get into a bar and a woman says "let's go to mine to have sex" within a few minutes that should raise some red flags in this day and age, but he just resorted to calling everyone pussies for having this rational logic, because he doesn't have it based on his subjective decades-old take.

Caleb Jones's avatar

What is your "objective evidence" that Dubai is unsafe when 1 person out of 5 million has died here in the past 23 days?

And yes, you're wrong, if a woman asks to go to your place on a first date after a few minutes (they don't say "go to mine to have sex"), you say YES and you go for it. And if you don't, you're a pussy.

Now stop being irrational and answer my question about Dubai: What is your "objective evidence" that Dubai is unsafe when 1 person out of 5 million has died here in the past 23 days? This is the second time you've accused me of lying or being biased, so your answer better be good.

He won't have anything. News has broken people's brains. Newsbrained retards read article/video and start having panic attacks.

5 years ago they thought China was killing people because they saw a drone image of some Uyghurs tied up from western news, now they all are riding China's dick because they saw videos of bullet trains lol. How quickly peoples perceptions change.

This has always been this way though:

"The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers." Thomas Jefferson

"Newspapers are unable, seemingly, to discriminate between a bicycle accident and the collapse of civilization." George Bernard Shaw

"In the real world, the right thing never happens in the right place and the right time. It is the job of journalists and historians to make it appear that it has." Mark Twain

Most of these retards should read up on Edward Bernays & Robert Cialdini instead of watching news.

Also, he called you an influencer lol. When's the rap video out LilCaleb:

Lil Caleb GlobeTrot, from the Gulf to the block,

Dubai to Asunción, got the game on lock.

Lil Caleb, big plot, rooftop, cash crop,

Left the States in the past, now the world my shop. (Chatgpt Rap lol)

I'm not quite that fat, but awesome nonetheless.

I indeed had something, you can continue fanboying for caleb making fan art for him.

China continues to be very harash on the uyghurs, anyone with a bit of brain knows that. Also, your thing lacks logic, a country can definitely make good infrasctucture and opress people at the same time, as a matter of fact that's a characteristic of competent authoritarian regimes.

8 people died in UAE incl 6 civilians; 157 people injured. Curious how you're gonna rationalize that. Have a look: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Iranian_strikes_on_the_United_Arab_Emirates

No, it wasn't the context that you have a date with a girl and she wants to have sex on first date. That can be normal. You were saying you meet someone in a bar and they want to have sex right away, hence why so many people were telling you that's a major red flag.

Caleb Jones's avatar

I asked you to submit your objective evidence of why Dubai is unsafe. You have not done so.

1. The number of people who died in the UAE is irrelevant because as I've said hundreds of times in my content, you don't live in a country; you live in a city. I don't live in the UAE; I live in Dubai, where one person has died out of 5 million.

2. Even if you want to make the UAE figure relevant, okay, then you're going to look even stupider. 8 people died out of a country of 11.5 million. Tell me why that's unsafe. Which you can't.

You are completely irrational and can't think properly. I wish you the best (but I'm glad I'm not you).

Handri's avatar

I'm not the irrational one here, you are. There's literally people dying from bombs in UAE now, but you're using mental gymnastics to justify it's not a big deal. No matter what would happen, you'd find some spin on it to not back down from your stance on UAE/Dubai. Idk if it's pride or you're afraid to talk negative about UAE due to potential consequences from UAE gov, but it's sad.

AvocadoSushi's avatar

The videos are fake, I think a lot of people realise this.

However are the points below fake?

Prices of property have declined 20% to 30% in the past few weeks?

Influencers/content creators are being forbidden/coerced by the Dubai authorities not to show produce content of missile attacks etc.

Was the air space above Dubai closed to commercial passenger aircraft for long periods of time? is it open/closed now?

Did thousands of ex-pat's leave Dubai because of the war in the Middle East?

Are Residents allowed to walk freely outside?

Caleb Jones's avatar

1. Property values of course have dropped. That happens in the USA all the time. They eventually come back, like they always do.

Does that mean Dubai is unsafe when only 1 person in 5 million has died in 23 days?

2. Probably, yes. Dubai doesn't have free speech just like the USA doesn't. It's just a different list of things you can't say. Everyone knows this, which is why you don't move to Dubai if your goal is to bash their government (why would someone do that?). I've addressed that many times.

Does that mean Dubai is unsafe when only 1 person in 5 million has died in 23 days?

3. Lie. The airport has been open for weeks.

4. Some expats left (there are irrational pussies in Dubai also), but most of the people who left were tourists who were just visiting.

Does that mean Dubai is unsafe when only 1 person in 5 million has died in 23 days?

5. Lie. Residents have been allowed to walk freely outside this entire time. I've been outside every single day during this entire process.

So your items are either false or don't demonstrate that Dubai is unsafe.

Stop believing the shit you read on the internet. For God's sake.

AvocadoSushi's avatar

Thanks for the reply.

FYI I'm not believing anything.

I'm asking questions.

In relation to this, it's not easy to discern what's fact and what isn't - especially when the government there is suppressing a differing point of view.

Was the airport ever shut down? because the media here is full is stories of expats having to get buses to Oman etc and then get flights out of there.

The key detail you say is the fact that residents can walk outside. For me, that's enough to demonstrate things are overblown.

I think the whole conflict gets more or less resolved in the next few weeks.

Caleb Jones's avatar

Incorrect, you are indeed believing things if you are asking questions like "are residents allowed to walk freely outside?" That's just such an insane thing to believe, and surely if that was the case, I would have been really bitching about that loudly already.

The government is not suppressing anything except people who show videos of debris falling out of the sky, which has indeed happened here a few times.

Yes, the airport was shut down twice, the first time for about 4 days about 20 days ago, the 2nd time for about 12 hours. Not a problem. It is open now and has been open for days. I can leave whenever I want.

AvocadoSushi's avatar

Take it easy Caleb, As I said before; I'm not believing anything, to quote a few good Men; "All I want is the Truth":))

Glad to hear things are more or less normal there. Cheers.

You should really articulate the "collapse" you are running from by moving to Dubai, which is a dictatorship in an unstable region that probably only exists as a political entity because it hosts American (and formerly British) military bases. The UAE "Military" is basically a collection of toys purchased from America and operated by American military contractors who have no skin in the game and will bail when they need to (many probably already are).Their actual personnel simply run and hide when they face a determined enemy like the Houthis in Yemen (same with the Saudis). When the Americans pack up and leave or are forced out by the Iranians, the stability won't be any better. The Israelis see Arabs as basically vermin and won't hesitate to bomb anything in the Arab world. The other alternative is for Iran or Turkey to expand back and reclaim what western imperialists took from them. There's also the issue that it is a place entirely unsuitable for building a large city with no arable land and effectively no water which relies on fragile desalination plants that the Iranians or later the Israelis can simply destroy, turning the place into worse than Somalia. If you uprooted your life and moved there, then sorry but you got scammed.

Caleb Jones's avatar

Your comment is full of factoids irrelevant to the Westerner living in Dubai and a bunch of bizarre what-if scenarios (why would Israel or Turkey invade Dubai, of all places, as soon as America collapsed)?

I've had plenty of food and water throughout this time, with literally no disruption whatsoever, so your points about that are false.

It is not "worse than Somalia" here. Lifestyle here, even right this second, is superior to the USA. So again, false.

If you hate Dubai, that's fine, don't move here, as I've only been saying for about 5 years. But don't make up a bunch of bullshit about how horrible it is when it isn't.

And I have articulated what I mean by collapse many, many times. Here's a link: https://calebjones.com/how-bad-will-it-get-what-exactly-will-happen/

And also as I've said hundreds of times, if anything starts really going bad in Dubai for any reason (not this current stuff, because this isn't bad) then I will just leave and go to one of my other flags. I'm not married to Dubai; I'm dating Dubai.

David Carey's avatar

The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain etc appear to have made a huge mistake by signing up to Trump’s bombing of Iran, which three weeks in has not overthrown the government as they thought it would and is turning into a complete catastrophe with explosions at US military bases across the entire region and in Israel itself.

They did nothing while Israel was orchestrating a genocide of Muslims in Gaza, maybe because many of their leaders were hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein and co so good luck getting their own people to fight for them once the American contractors leave. According to the US ambassador to Israel, they have no actual right to their own territory and it belongs to Israel. Better hope their own people did not watch this interview.

Iran now has complete control of the straight, so most of their imports and exports are cut off. If the US were smart, they would walk away from this disaster now, although they will probably double down by going after things like power stations in Iran, at which point Iran is perfectly justified in retaliating by striking the desalination plants of the Gulf states, which will render them more or less uninhabitable. Possibly the only way the US could get the straight reopened is to go for a ground invasion. Invading a mountainous country of 90 million people would be an even bigger catastrophe which would likely tear American society completely apart. They have no good options at this point and shouldn’t have bombed Iran in the first place.

The fact you are not committed to Dubai like other expats should tell you what you need to know about the future of the country. Any country that does not have people committed enough that are prepared to fight and die for it is not viable in a conflict against a neighbour and should not get involved in one in the first place.

Yes, the USA may collapse. Bombing Iran will probably accelerate the process and going for a ground invasion almost certainly would, although the Gulf states are now in a much worse position.

Caleb Jones's avatar

I agree with all of your political statements. They're also completely irrelevant to me which is why I don't care.

And, once again, you're completely incorrect; I'm not committed to Dubai because of Dubai. I'm not committed to ANY FUCKING COUNTRY because no one should be committed to ANY COUNTRY in this collapsing era. Watch this video where I recommended this exact approach two full years ago before any of this was happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45uoDD1if18

You just don't like Dubai and never have. Admit your emotional bias.

David Carey's avatar

Looks like the US and/or Israel have now taken the dumb escalation of going after Iran's power grid. The Gulf states can now say goodbye to the rest of the energy export facilities and their desalination plants, as Iran will have to retaliate. Bahrain will be the first government to go down with it's majority shia population. Yes, I don't like Dubai - fake, shallow, materialistic place, ecological overshoot in the desert and it's government has signed on for what is turning out to be the biggest error in American foreign policy history, far worse than Iraq, Vietnam etc.

Caleb Jones's avatar

Incorrect again. Trump just announced he's not going to bomb Iran's power grid. How does it feel to be wrong 100% of the time? Must be tiring.

Gotta love the people not in Dubai, waving the banner of "objective evidence", while arguing with people who ARE currently in Dubai.

Good God! Caleb is 100% correct! More importantly, on a topic which actually matters to actual men in the US, Why oh why doesn't anybody post alerts on Instagram: Warning! Don't do TMM! The divorce rate is over 70%, and with monogamy the woman, even if she means well, owns your balls! Don't do it!

I live for the day I see this on Social Media.

Haha! Good point!
