Stop Listening To Solutions That Will Never Happen
I don’t spend a lot of time watching/listening to podcasts because I’m busy working on my big goals that are coming due very soon.
However, I have listened to a few lately, usually while I’m doing something else, and I’m seeing a pattern emerging.
The podcast will start covering the major problems with the Collapsing West and why it’s collapsing. The actual topic could be one of 100 different things, everywhere from money printing to high school girls turning into boys.
As these problems are described, I find myself nodding in complete agreement.
Then, at the end of the discussion, the speaker(s) suddenly start proposing societal-level solutions as if they have a chance in hell that they’re going to happen.
But they’re not going to happen.
For example, I listened to a long video done by Tom Bilyeu. The thumbnail of the video is “We’re Cooked,” which is accurate (if you still live in the Collapsing West… I don’t so I’m fine.)
He spent 40 minutes listing all of the reasons why the USA will economically collapse in our lifetime (which it will).
Massive government overspending. Massive government borrowing. The West doesn’t manufacture anything anymore. Collusion with the banks, and on and on.
Yep, all accurate. The USA is fucked.
Then he ends the videos with his solutions. “Here’s what needs to happen so we aren’t screwed,” he says, then he lists things like “shrink the government” and “stop borrowing so much money” and “stop money printing” and “bring manufacturing back to America” and on and on.
Just one problem, Tom.
These things are never, ever, ever, ever, EVER going to happen.
You can fantasize about all of the logic you want. They’re not going to happen.
Moreover, these things will never, ever, ever, EVER happen REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU VOTE FOR.
Suggesting things like this, with the intention of maybe getting them to happen just by saying them on a big podcast, is just mental masturbation.
It continues. Yesterday I listened to Elon Musk on Joe Rogan. Same thing there. Elon talks about the massive overspending and fraud, how the Democrat party in the USA is encouraging mass immigration to swell population numbers, and so on.
And again, I’m nodding my head in agreement. Yeah, the USA is fucked.
Then he starts listing the solutions. Oh boy, here we go again…
Have the federal government call up everyone who has an incorrect birthday in the Social Security system and correct it in the system. Left-wing states like California, New York, and Illinois need to start forcing everyone to show their valid ID before they vote. Everyone in California needs to immediately move to Texas.
Once again, these things are never, ever, ever, ever, EVER going to happen.
Americans, Canadians, Australians, and Europeans are just going to keep voting for the same people who are destroying their nations. And yes, this includes you Trump supporters. Trump said he would build a wall and then didn’t. He said he would cut spending last year but instead he jacked up borrowing by $3.9 trillion in one bill.
The 2016 presidential election was Trump vs. Hillary, two of the most hated and unlikeable people in the USA at the time. Third parties (including the Libertarian Party) should have swept in that election, getting at least 10% if not 15% or 20% of the popular vote.
Yet they still to their 1-2% like always.
No Western government is going to make the massive, disruptive, sweeping changes necessary to avert collapse. NONE of them. Grow up and stop fantasizing about this.
Moreover, and even worse, the totally insane voters of these collapsing countries have made it very clear they’re going to keep voting for left-wing Democrats like Obama and Biden and big-government, money-printing, overspending Republicans like Bush and Trump (and the non-American equivalents in other Western countries) no matter what, and these polications are just going to make this shit worse every year.
In my book The Unchained Man, I talk about the folly of focusing on external solutions (like voting for a guy like Trump who loves big government to save your collapsing country) instead of focusing on internal solutions (like leaving your country to live a better life).
This is now more true today than ever before.
Focus on your life and what you can control. Please don’t sit around hoping that your bloated, ever-growing, largely left-wing, corrupt, entrenched government will suddenly start doing the right thing. It won’t.
