When False Societal Programming Is "Okay"
Societal Programming, or SP, as I talk about in my videos and blogs, and especially in my primary book The Unchained Man, is a bunch of lies told to you by society (your parents, school, religion, TV, movies, news, internet, books, etc) that are implanted into you to ensure the eleites maintain their control over you.
SP is made to keep you a slave and a working cog in the machine, not to make you free or happy.
Therefore, SP is bad. If you want to achieve long-term consistent happiness, it’s your job to A) identify all of the bullshit SP rolling around in your mind (and you’ve got a lot!) and B) clean it out so you can be happy. (Refer to The Unchained Man for instructions on how to do all of this.)
This begs the question, “Is any false SP helpful? Or at least not harmful?”
The answer, surprisingly, is yes.
A very teeny tiny percentage of false, bullshit SP is indeed “okay.”
It’s only okay if both of the following conditions are true:
The false SP doesn’t make you upset at yourself, other people, or the world in general. (This is why, for example, false SP religions like Christianity and Islam are not okay; if you follow these religions you’re going to spend the rest of your life being very upset at most of the modern-day world because it lives pretty much the opposite of what your religion teaches.)
It doesn’t limit your freedom in any way whatsoever. It’s false, but it’s harmless.
I’ll give you my favorite example: Christmas.
You’re going to read this article on Christmas Eve. I’m writing this article on Dec 21st, and I am full of the Christmas spirit at the moment.
Like most people, I was raised within one of the many false SP religions. In my case, this was Christianity, more accurately, Catholicism. Like most religions, this religion is full of stuff made up by primitive, frightened humans thousands of years ago.
Therefore, while there might be some good tenets taught by Christianity, most of it is complete fairy tale bullshit.
This includes Christmas, where we all shove trees inside our houses, lie to our children about a magical fatass who delivers presents to them, and celebrate the birthday of a mythical godlike wizard who lived thousands of years ago in the Middle East. And shit, his birthday isn’t even in December, it’s in April.
So Christmas is a complete pile of horseshit.
But I love it.
I adore Christmas trees, Christmas celebrations, and Christmas lights.
I absolutely love Christmas music. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been listening to old-timey Christmas music from the 40s and 50s as I work, and I’ve been loving every minute of it. (I’m listening to Nat King Cole right now as I type these words.)
I listen to Christian church Christmas songs we used sing when I was a kid in Catholic Friday Mass and it all fills me with joy.
I wish the Christmas season was even longer than it currently is, and I feel a little twinge of sadness when it’s over.
I fucking LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!
…even though I know it’s all bullshit.
So, in my case at least, loving and celebrating Christmas even though I know it’s a bunch of false SP is perfectly fine. I know it’s all bullshit, but that’s okay, just like I know Raiders of the Lost Ark is also bullshit, but it makes me happy and doesn’t harm my freedoms.
Me loving Christmas doesn’t make me angry at anyone. Indeed, it makes me happier and like people more.
Me loving Christmas doesn’t limit my freedom in any way. I still live my wonderful, international, five flags, self-employed, non-monogamous lifestyle without any disruption during the Christmas season. It’s all great.
So rarely, not often, but rarely, some false SP comes along that is perfectly fine. Enjoy it and have fun with it. (Hey, I even like Easter too!)
You just have to ensure it really doesn’t make you upset or limit your freedom in any way.

I think the more accurate way of seeing the few SPs that aren't harmful is the same as the good parts of religion: it points to a deeper truth (despite all the falsehood around it). The Christmas story and date it is celebrated, among other things, might be bullcrap, but the camaraderie and good will is true, and points to the fact that humans can put aside their differences and get along.
Merry Christmas 🎄 . This also shows the difference between ideology and participation - like how Dubai celebrates Christmas culturally despite being a Muslim country. Practice doesn't always equal belief. So Dubai belief-> Islam ☪️ and christmas in Dubai 🎄= Participation → harmless cultural tradition
