Such a critical concept, and yet not talked about nearly enough.
I think all kids should get basic education in a variety or areas, same as public schools theoretically taught, decades ago. They can then use this as the basis to decide what to explore in further depth. But also, all people should know basics of a wide variety of subject initially because they are all interconnected in life and allow for better decision-making for many people.
I use much of what I learned regularly. But that was not what's being taught now. And now anyone can learn more in one day of correctly using YouTube, compared to probably a week of public school.
If you think you can use AI as some short-cut to learning and developing critical skill development... yeah, sure. You can also use heroin to feel better. And cocaine for energy. And fast food for... fast food. Yeah, good luck with those.
